Why BSMachining

Rapid turnaround

Standard work (existing tooling, material in stock) ships in 24–48 hours. Complex or multi-operation parts take longer, depending on design and material availability.

Design, CNC machining, waterjet cutting, welding and fabrication, assembly support, and in-house visual qualification all happen under one roof in Plainwell. CMM inspection is through a third-party lab when your print requires it.

Subsea background

We build the hardware for Benthic Spectral's own real-time underwater hyperspectral imaging (UHI) systems and AUV/ROV payloads. We test it in Benthic Spectral's indoor freshwater ROV test pool in Plainwell.

Domestic, dual-use capacity

Michigan-based, Made in America production for commercial and defense customers that adds resilience to the U.S. industrial base.

Design to manufacture

We can take a part from concept through drawing, CAD/CAM, and first article. We also build to your print, inspection requirements, traveler, and first-article forms.

Defense-ready paperwork

WOSB, active SAM.gov registration (CAGE 18DW4, UEI JDVBEXWC2787), current DD Form 2345, NSTIC membership.

Defense and deep-sea programs

BSMachining supplies precision hardware for defense and deep-sea programs. We are a nontraditional defense manufacturer engaged in DoD industrial-base efforts. We take on bounded roles: a component, a subsystem, assembly support, tooling, or contract manufacturing. We team with prime contractors and say plainly what is in scope and what is not.
